Potenza Picena is deep-rooted in the wine and olive oil production.
The farm covers an area of 160 hectares, including 40 hectares of vineyard, 40 hectares of olive grove and 80 hectares of cropland.
The plots of land present a slightly sandy medium soil with a low-hill exposure overlooking the Adriatic sea to guarantee an ideal percentage of sunshine for the vines to grow.
The native and international grape varieties that we cultivate are white-berried (Ribona, Passerina, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris) and red-berried (Montepulciano, Melot Cabernet Sauvignon, Sangiovese).
The planting distance is 2.60 m. between rows and 1 m. between plants.
The vines are trained using the Guyot system and are short-pruned though the spurred cordon.
The average grape yield per hectare is 8000 kg, about 2 kg for each vine. This is to obtain high-quality wines.
All our vines are listed as Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) and Designation of Origin (DO).
The twenty-year experience of our staff paying the greatest attention to the cultivation of the soil as well as during the pruning and picking stages prove fundamental to an abundant harvest.
